Living library as a third place: an encounter of generations in times of uncertainty

This paper addresses an ongoing experience with the Rede Beija-flor de Pequenas Bibliotecas Vivas Santo André, a civil society organization, in field of right to literature, as human for all. SP, Brazil is rich but unequal city, marked by its past working-class identity, though, nowadays, it no longer knows what identity is. The actors include college professors, young students training become primary school teachers, and residents vulnerable territories. Experience points possibilities relationship between different historical age generations within cofigurative cultural order, thus, temporary one. Everything open undefined. place, living library, not home, work, or school. It third where people encounter themselves others, place complete freedom. Thus far, this indicates new ways act, considering dyad “intelligent citizens” “participatory cities” times uncertainty.
